Softball: Yellow Jackets fall to Colorado Christian on Senior Day
SPEARFISH, S.D. — Black Hills State University hosted Colorado Christian on Saturday in women’s softball.
The Cougars swept the doubleheader by scores of 8-4 and 9-0.
The Yellow Jackets honored their five seniors prior to the first pitch, Morgan Smith, Alex Wiley, Katelyn Odle, Jordyn Ballard and Samantha Gill.
CCU 8, Black Hills State 4
Colorado Christian scored six runs in the third inning and held on to defeat Black Hills State, 8-4.
The Yellow Jackets were led by Alex Wiley who finished the game 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
CCU 9, Black Hills State 0
The Cougars shut out the Yellow Jackets in the second game, 9-0.
Maddie London was 2-for-3 in the game, but the home team was unable to bring any runs across.
Black Hills State falls to 10-27 overall and 7-22 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
The Yellow Jackets will wrap up the regular season with a four-game series at Chadron State on April 26-27.
