SOFTBALL: Raiders shut out Cobblers

RAPID CITY, S.D. – In their final tune-up before the state softball tournament this weekend, Rapid City Central squared off against the Stevens Raiders.

The Raiders used a combination of strong pitching and timely hitting to beat the Cobblers, 8-0.

Irelyn Spencer hit a two-run homer in the second inning for Stevens and Ella Kieffer added a two-run homer in the third.

Central and Stevens will now turn their attention to the Class A state tournament which runs Oct. 1-2 in Sioux Falls.
