SOCCER PLAYOFFS: RC Stevens boys and girls advance to semifinals

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The high school soccer playoffs continued Saturday in Class ‘AA’ with the quarterfinals.

No. 2 Rapid City Stevens played host to Sioux Falls Lincoln in boys soccer.

Although the Raiders were the favorites to win, Lincoln handed the Raiders one of their two losses during the regular season.

But the Raiders were determined not to let that happen again.

Stevens defeated Lincoln on Saturday by a score of 3-0.

Zack Williams led the Raiders with two goals, while Trey Bradley had one goal and two assists.

The Raiders advance to the semifinals where they will host Yankton on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 5 p.m.

 

Girls Soccer Playoffs

Meanwhile, Rapid City Stevens knocked off Spearfish, 2-0 in the quarterfinal round of the Class AA girl soccer playoffs.

Breanna Reagan led the Raiders with two goals.

The Raiders will now travel to Aberdeen on Tuesday, Oct. 12 to play the top-seeded Golden Eagles at 3 p.m. MST.
