Snow Removal services downtown this Sunday night

Be sure to move cars from the area - unmoved cars will be towed

RAPID CITY, S.D. – If you’re headed downtown this weekend be aware that snow removal crews will be at work.

Destination Rapid City, the BID board, and the City of Rapid City partnered to provide snow removal services downtown. On Sunday night at 9 p.m. crews will clear Main St., St. Joseph St., and side streets between 4th and 9th. The city asks that you move your cars from those areas. They recommend parking in the surrounding areas or at City hall. All cars that are not moved will be towed.

Not only will streets be cleared but so will the sidewalks. Destination Rapid City wants to make sure its shoppers and attraction goers are able to get to their destination without a hassle.

“People will be able to pull their cars in, they can park, and they don’t have to jump through the snow to get into a store or have a cup of coffee,” said Dan Senftner, CEO of Destination Rapid City.
