Snow and ice lead to dangerous road conditions, warnings from authorities
RAPID CITY, SD — Cold early morning temperatures and wet roads are producing slippery conditions all over the Black Hills area this morning.
The snow and ice built up from overnight are causing slow commutes and multiple accidents, leading city and state authorities to caution drivers as they travel.
Wet roads overnight quickly turned to freezing conditions with lowering temps. Crews continuing to treat roads w/focus on school routes/main lines/emergency routes/connectors. Slow down, use caution, expect icy conditions on morning commute, allow extra time to reach destination
