Sioux Falls woman injured after stray bullet enters her apartment

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — A Sioux Falls woman was injured on Sunday after a stray bullet was shot through her apartment wall.

The woman, 27, was standing in front of her bathroom mirror when a bullet burst through the mirror. She sustained non-serious injuries on her chest.

Authorities say her neighbor was cleaning his gun when it discharged and sent a bullet through the wall of her adjacent apartment bathroom.

It was unclear if the woman’s chest injuries were from shards of the bullet or mirror fragments.

Police say the man was not drunk or high, and is not being charged for the accident.
