Sioux Falls middle school student arrested after being found with pocket knife

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — A 14-year-old student at Memorial Middle School was arrested on Monday after he was found with a pocket knife.

The student was called to the principal’s office after being caught using his cell phone. School administrators asked him to empty his pockets and discovered the 4-inch folding knife.

The student was arrested for having a weapon on school grounds, and then later released to his parents.
