Sioux City police search for man who stole $30,000 worth of jewelry
SIOUX CITY, IOWA — Authorities are searching for a man that stole several diamond rings from a jewelry store in Sioux City. The rings are valued at $30,000.
The incident happened on March 28 when the man entered Helzberg Diamonds in the Southern Hills Mall under the premise that he was looking for a ring for his girlfriend.
After spending a few hours in the store, he grabbed three rings and ran out at about 9 p.m.
He was seen leaving the area in what appeared to be a red Dodge pickup truck. The Sioux City Police Department released the photos of the man on Tuesday and have asked the public to contact them if they recognize him and know his whereabouts.
