Significantly below average temperatures ahead, when could we see a return to normal?

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Let’s check out what the weather will be like as we head into the third week of November.

Temperature trends:

Temperatures for the majority of the week will be 15-30 degrees below average. Our coldest day will be Thursday. We could get pretty close to 0 degrees on Thursday night. Luckily, we’ll start to see things warm up a bit going into the weekend. Next week looks like it’ll be a little warmer and get closer to our average temperatures.

Will we get any precipitation?

We’ll have on and off chances for snow showers through Thursday. But, it looks like it’ll dry out starting on Friday and heading into next week.

Will it be windy?

We’ll see a weak cold front move through on Monday night, wringing some breezy conditions to the area on Tuesday. A stronger cold front on Wednesday night will bring in stronger winds on Thursday.

What should I wear?

Make sure you dress warm! These are not normal November temperatures. So, if you haven’t already brought out your winter attire, this is the week to do that.

Weekend forecast:

This weekend looks dry and warm, at least compared to what we’ve had. This would be a good weekend to get out and do some outdoor activities.
