SF Lincoln leads after day one of the State AA Girls Tennis Tournament

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Since girls high school tennis was sanctioned in South Dakota back in 1973, Sioux Falls Lincoln has won 14 state titles, which includes titles in each of the past four years.

The Patriots are once again the favorite to win the state title this year.

However, the Rapid City Stevens Raiders should finish near the top as well, after wrapping up the regular season with a 25-1 record.

The State AA Girls Tennis Tournament kicked off Thursday morning in Rapid City.

After the first day of competition, Lincoln has a 20 point lead over Rapid City Stevens, 360 to 340.
