Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northwestern Campbell County

RAPID CITY, S.D. —  The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northwestern Campbell County in northeastern Wyoming until 5:30 p.m. MDT.

At 4:33 p.m. MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Spotted Horse or 36 miles northwest of Gillette, moving east at 20 MPH.

Possible hazards include: ping pong size hail and 60 mpg wind gusts.

People and animals outdoors will be injured.

Hail damage to roofs, siding, windows and vehicles is expected. Wind damage to roofs, siding and trees is also expected. Hail may also accumulate on roadways, causing hazardous travel.

This severe thunderstorm will be near Recluse around 4:50 p.m. MDT.
