Semi-truck crash on Highway 79 shuts down travel

BEAR BUTTE, S.D. — The South Dakota Highway Patrol, along with other agencies, responded to a semi-truck crash near mile marker 121 on Highway 79 on Tuesday.

The crash has both directions of travel on the highway shut down. The SDHP is advising the public to use alternate routes.

With the High Wind Advisory Tuesday and extreme wind gusts in the Northern Hills area, high-profile vehicles are experiencing issues with travel, so please plan accordingly.
