Seasonal workers needed for the fall and winter months
RAPID CITY, S.D. — Many communities around the Black Hills are in need of seasonal workers for the fall and winter months.
The Monument is hiring hundreds of workers to fill key positions ahead of the Summit Arena’s opening.
Applicants have a choice from guest services, box office, event staff, and more.
“If you’re looking for something that’s like part-time or just a little fun experience, some great cash in your pocket, we’ve got jobs for you,” said The Monument’s Priscilla Dominguez. “If you’re looking for more hours, we have departments that have nearly full-time hours. So, it’s a great seasonal position here. Fun, engaging, you see everyone from the community as well as great shows. You’re really a part of the heart of what happens in Rapid”.
With the school year underway, and a portion of seasonal workers head back to class, several communities need to fill numerous positions.
The Rapid City Parks Department is in need of maintenance workers, as the number of staffers drop.
As the city relies on seasonal workers for tasks such as general upkeep, the need to fill these vacancies is at the top of the list.
“Mowing, trimming, trash removal, janitorial work, that sort of thing,” said Rapid City Parks and Recreation Director Jeff Biegler. “These positions we hope to keep up to and perhaps to the end of the year, so there might even be some snow removal tasks involved in some of these positions.”
