SDDOH: 75 total new COVID-19 cases, seven deaths reported statewide

PIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 75 new confirmed and probable cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed and probable cases to 236,351.

Seven new deaths were reported, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,834.

18 total confirmed and probable cases were reported West River: seven in Pennington County, four each in Oglala Lakota County, two each in Dewey, Lawrence and Meade Counties and one in Corson County.

In South Dakota, 3,654 cases are considered active, that number is down from 3,754 on Friday.

An additional 168 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 229,863.

Data are provisional and subject to change. Data are updated daily (Monday – Friday) by about 12:00 p.m. and include cases reported through 1:00 p.m. the previous day. Data from Saturday and Sunday will be included in Tuesday’s update.
