SDDOH: 569 total new COVID-19 cases, 10 deaths reported statewide
PIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 569 new confirmed and probable cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed and probable cases to 230,240.
10 deaths were reported, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,687.
209 total confirmed and probable cases were reported West River: 74 in Pennington County, 21 in Lawrence County, 20 in Meade County, 18 in Todd County, 15 in Oglala Lakota County, 11 in Butte County, 10 in Fall River County, six each in Corson and Tripp Counties, five each in Custer and Lyman Counties, four in Stanley County, three each in Dewey and Mellette Counties, two in Bennett County and one each in Gregory, Haakon, Harding, Jackson, Jones and Perkins County.
In South Dakota, 25,052 cases are considered active, that number is down from 27,003 on Thursday.
An additional 5,017 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 197,484.
Data are provisional and subject to change. Data are updated daily (Monday – Friday) by about 12:00 p.m. and include cases reported through 1:00 p.m. the previous day. Data from Saturday and Sunday will be included in Tuesday’s update.
