SDDOH: 325 total new COVID-19 cases, six deaths reported statewide
PIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 325 new confirmed and probable cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed and probable cases to 232,400.
Six deaths were reported, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,730.
123 total confirmed and probable cases were reported West River: 43 in Pennington County, 13 in Oglala Lakota County, 11 in Lawrence County, nine each in Butte, Meade and Todd Counties, six each in Corson and Custer Counties, four in Bennett County, three each in Fall River, Lyman and Tripp Counties, two in Dewey County and one each in Gregory and Perkins Counties.
In South Dakota, 14,615 cases are considered active, that number is down from 15,679 on Thursday.
An additional 1,383 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 215,380.
Data are provisional and subject to change. Data are updated daily (Monday – Friday) by about 12:00 p.m. and include cases reported through 1:00 p.m. the previous day. Data from Saturday and Sunday will be included in Tuesday’s update.
