SD Mines men’s basketball team wins home opener over Regis, 74-70
RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Mines men’s basketball team has been on the road since the season tipped off last month.
In fact, the Hardrockers made four-straight trips to Colorado where they posted a 3-4 record.
South Dakota Mines finally played at home on Friday.
The Hardrockers defeated the Regis University Rangers, 74-70.
The win is the first-ever victory over the Rangers.
South Dakota Mines was led by Wilfred Dickson who finished with 18 points. Kolten Mortensen added 12 points 15 rebounds for the Hardrockers.
The Hardrockers improve to 4-4 overall and in the RMAC Conference.
South Dakota Mines will host Chadron State on Thursday, Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m.
