SD Mines men’s basketball team signs RC Stevens standout
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Stevens senior, Charles Christensen, has decided to take his talents to the next level and he’s staying right here in the Black Hills.
Christensen signed a letter of intent this week to play men’s basketball for South Dakota Mines.
The six-foot-six forward was a member of the Stevens team that finished 10-11 last season.
But lost to Mitchell in the Class ‘AA’ So-Dak 16.
Christensen, who plans to major in mechanical engineering, said he always wanted to play for the Hardrockers.
“I’ve grown up watching them and they have really good academics and that’s really important for me,” said Charles Christensen. “I’m just really excited to continue this opportunity. I had a workout there and I noticed that all of their guys are extremely nice and I’m really excited to play with them.”
