SD Mines men claims team title at the Hardrocker Invite

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Mines men’s and women’s golf teams hosted the Hardrocker Invite Monday at Arrowhead Country Club.

The tournament was originally planed for two rounds over the course of two days.

But due to the expected windy conditions on Tuesday, the tournament was condensed into a one-day 36-hole event.

South Dakota Mines won the men’s title with a total score of 609.

Minot State finished second at 629.

The medalist was Bryce Howard from South Dakota Mines who carded a 72 and a 74 for a total of 146.

On the women’s side, the University of Sioux Falls captured the team title with score of 681.

South Dakota Mines finished in second place with 689.

The Black Hills State women’s golf team placed ninth with a total score of 787.

Megan Hinker from Dakota Wesleyan fired a two-round score of 158 to take home medalist honors.

Hinker finished just two strokes ahead of Rianna Garland from South Dakota Mines.
