SD DOH: 936 total new COVID-19 cases, 15 deaths reported

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 682 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 143,043.

15 new deaths were reported, bringing the state death toll to 2,349.

219 confirmed cases were reported West River: 73 in Oglala Lakota County, 60 in Pennington County, 21 in Meade County, 15 in Lawrence County, 12 in Butte County, seven each in Perkins and Todd Counties, four each in Custer and Jackson Counties, three each in Bennet, Dewey and Tripp Counties, two each in Gregory and Stanley Counties and one each in Corson, Fall River and Lyman Counties.

56 probable cases were reported West River: 30 in Pennington County, eight in Todd County, five in Perkins County, four in Stanley County, three in Lyman County, two in Tripp County and one each in Corson, Gregory and Haakon Counties.

In South Dakota, 7,222 cases are considered active, that number is up from 6,778 on Tuesday.

An additional 477 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 157,573.
