SD DOH: 756 total new COVID-19 cases, one death statewide

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 639 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 127,319.

One new death was reported, putting the state death toll at 2,161.

263 confirmed cases were reported West River: 127 in Pennington County, 29 in Meade County, 23 each in Custer and Lawrence Counties, 13 in Todd County, 12 each in Fall River and Oglala Lakota Counties, six each in Butte and Corson Counties, three in Perkins County, two each in Dewey, Gregory and Tripp Counties and one each in Bennett, Jackson and Mellette Counties.

28 probable cases were reported West River: 14 in Pennington County four in Meade County, three in Dewey County, two in Fall River County and one each in Bennett, Butte, Gregory, Jackson and Stanley Counties.

In South Dakota, 6,889 cases are considered active, that number is down from 7,215 on Monday.

An additional 1,080 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 137,544.
