SD DOH: 615 total new COVID-19 cases, six deaths reported

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 472 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 143,515.

Six new deaths were reported, bringing the state death toll to 2,355.

117 confirmed cases were reported West River: 50 in Pennington County, 10 in Lawrence County, nine each in Butte and Tripp Counties, seven each in Meade and Todd Counties, six in Lyman County, four each in Dewey and Fall River Counties, three in Bennett County, two each in Gregory and Perkins Counties and one each in Corson, Mellette, Oglala Lakota and Stanley Counties.

26 probable cases were reported West River: eight in Todd County, four in Lyman County, three each in Gregory and Pennington Counties, two in Meade County and one each in Bennett, Corson, Haakon, Jackson, Lawrence and Perkins Counties.

In South Dakota, 7,416 cases are considered active, that number is up from 7,222 on Wednesday.

An additional 415 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 157,988.
