SD DOH: 59 new COVID-19 cases statewide, 14 cases West River

PIERRE, S.D. – Monday’s numbers from the South Dakota Department of Health show a total of 9,663 cases have been confirmed in South Dakota, up 59 from Sunday.

14 of Monday’s new cases are West River – 5 each in Lawrence and Pennington Counties and one each in Butte, Corson, Custer and Oglala Lakota Counties.

81 of the 96 COVID cases found at Camp Judson in Keystone have recovered.

Across the state, 1,146 cases are considered active. That number is up from 1,125 on Sunday. An additional 37 people have recovered from the coronavirus, bringing the statewide total number of recovered to 8,371.

A total of 63 people are currently hospitalized in the state and a total of 882 people have ever been hospitalized due to COVID-19.

No new deaths were recorded, leaving the statewide total at 146.
