SD DOH: 552 total new COVID-19 cases statewide

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 452 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 125,688.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the state death toll at 2,133.

214 confirmed cases were reported West River: 80 in Pennington County, 38 in Lawrence County, 30 in Oglala Lakota County, 23 in Meade County, 10 in Butte County, eight in Custer County, six each in Fall River County and Gregory Counties, five in Corson County, four in Bennett County, two in Jackson County and one each in Dewey and Todd Counties.

31 probable cases were reported West River: 23 in Pennington County, three in Jackson County, two in Butte County and one each in Lyman Mellette and Todd Counties.

In South Dakota, 7,461 cases are considered active, that number is down from 7,600 on Tuesday.

An additional 690 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 134,952.
