SD DOH: 520 total new COVID-19 cases, four deaths reported statewide

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 372 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 134,600.

Four new deaths were reported, bringing the state death toll to 2,253.

161 confirmed cases were reported West River: 77 in Pennington County, 25 in Meade County, 14 in Lawrence County, 12 in Oglala Lakota County, seven in Butte County, six each in Todd and Fall River Counties, two each in Tripp, Gregory, Custer, Harding, and Corson Counties, and one each in Jackson, Lyman, Perkins, and Stanley Counties.

34 probable cases were reported West River: 16 in Pennington County, three in Lyman County, two each in Custer, Perkins, Dewey, Meade, and Haakon Counties, and one each in Todd, Tripp, Fall River, Harding, and Stanley Counties.

In South Dakota, 5,662 cases are considered active, that number is up from 5,513 on Tuesday.

An additional 367 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 148,208.
