SD DOH: 492 total new COVID-19 cases, 14 deaths reported

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 379 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 144,290.

14 new deaths were reported, bringing the state death toll to 2,371

92 confirmed cases were reported West River: 38 in Pennington County, nine in Lawrence County, seven each in Meade, Butte, and Todd Counties, five in Fall River County, three each in Lyman, Oglala Lakota, Bennett, and Gregory Counties, two in Custer County, and one each in Dewey, Stanley, Jones, Jackson, and Mellette Counties.

44 probable cases were reported West River: 19 in Dewey County, eight in Pennington County, seven in Corson County, five in Todd County, two in Perkins County, and one each in Stanley, Haakon, and Fall River Counties.

In South Dakota, 7,682 cases are considered active, that number is up from 7,572 on Friday.

An additional 368people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 158,710.
