SD DOH: 482 total new COVID-19 cases, three deaths reported

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 380 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 138,748.

Three new deaths were reported, bringing the state death toll to 2,297.

122 confirmed cases were reported West River: 62 in Pennington County, 19 in Meade County, nine in Lawrence County, eight in Butte County, five each in Custer and Fall River Counties, three each in Corson, Lyman, and Dewey Counties, two in Gregory County, and one each in Jackson, Todd, and Tripp Counties.

19 probable cases were reported West River: four in Pennington County, three in Tripp County, two each in Dewey, Lawrence, Jackson, Custer, and Bennett Counties, and one each in Haakon and Lyman Counties.

In South Dakota, 6,663 cases are considered active, that number is up from 6,534 on Tuesday.

An additional 350 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 152,514.
