SD DOH: 474 total new COVID-19 cases, three deaths statewide

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 306 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 127,992

Three new deaths were reported, putting the state death toll at 2,170.

148 confirmed cases were reported West River: 68 in Pennington County, 24 in Meade County, 18 in Lawrence County, nine in Butte County, seven each in Dewey and Fall River Counties, three in Todd County, two each in Haakon and Oglala Lakota Counties, and one each in Harding, Perkins, Corson, Ziebach, Stanley, Custer, Lyman, and Tripp Counties.

102 probable cases were reported West River: 77 in Pennington County, nine in Fall River County, two each in Corson, Dewey, Meade, and Bennett Counties, and one each in Perkins, Lawrence, Stanley, Custer, Jackson, Jones, Todd, and Gregory Counties.

In South Dakota, 6,716 cases are considered active, that number is down from 6,735 on Wednesday.

An additional 490 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 138,583.
