SD DOH: 453 total new COVID-19 cases, three deaths reported statewide

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 363 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 132,831.

Three new deaths were reported, bringing the state death toll to 2,231.

139 confirmed cases were reported West River: 58 in Pennington County, 16 in Lawrence County, 15 in Meade County, 13 in Butte County, 10 in Todd County, five each in Fall River and Oglala Lakota Counties, four each in Jackson and Gregory Counties, three in Custer County, two in Tripp County, and one each in Corson, Stanley, Haakon, and Lyman Counties.

19 probable cases were reported West River: seven in Pennington County, two each in Corson, Stanley, Jackson, Fall River, and Todd Counties, and one each in Lyman and Bennett Counties.

In South Dakota, 5,464 cases are considered active, that number is up from 5,392 on Tuesday.

An additional 378 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 146,079.
