SD DOH: 415 total new COVID-19 cases, four deaths reported

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 331 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 139,697.

Four new deaths were reported, bringing the state death toll to 2,309.

106 confirmed cases were reported West River: 50 in Pennington County, 14 in Meade County, 13 in Lawrence County, seven in Oglala Lakota County, six in Fall River County, five in Butte County, three each in Perkins and Tripp Counties, and one each in Stanley, Lyman, Custer, Todd, and Mellette Counties.

14 probable cases were reported West River: three each in Pennington and Mellette Counties, two in Lawrence County, and one each in Perkins, Stanley, Custer, Bennett, Tripp, and Gregory Counties.

In South Dakota, 6,865 cases are considered active, that number is up from 6,820 on Friday.

An additional 366 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 153,616.
