SD DOH: 403 total new COVID-19 cases, six deaths reported statewide

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 292 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 133,660.

Six new deaths were reported, bringing the state death toll to 2,241.

106 confirmed cases were reported West River: 51 in Pennington County, 12 in Meade County, 10 in Lawrence County, nine in Butte County, five in Fall River County, three each in Oglala Lakota and Tripp Counties, two each in Bennett, Corson and Todd Counties and one each in Dewey, Gregory, Harding, Jackson and Lyman Counties.

50 probable cases were reported West River: 13 in Dewey County, 12 in Ziebach County, 11 in Pennington County, five in Corson County, four in Meade County, two in Lyman County and three each in Gregory, Stanley and Todd Counties.

In South Dakota, 5,483 cases are considered active, that number is up from 5,421 on Friday.

An additional 335 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 147,161.
