SD DOH: 402 total new COVID-19 cases, six deaths statewide

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 366 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 127,686.

Six new death was reported, putting the state death toll at 2,167.

136 confirmed cases were reported West River: 78 in Pennington County, 15 in Lawrence County, 11 in Todd County, nine in Butte County, seven in Custer County, four in Fall River County, three each in Harding and Dewey Counties, two in Gregory County, and one each in Perkins, Stanley, Bennett, and Lyman Counties.

Three probable cases were reported West River: one each in Harding, Stanley, and Pennington Counties.

In South Dakota, 6,735 cases are considered active, that number is down from 6,889 on Tuesday.

An additional 549 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 138,093.
