SD DOH: 401 total new COVID-19 cases, no deaths reported

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 310 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 135,604.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the state death toll at 2,267.

128 confirmed cases were reported West River: 53 in Pennington County, 16 in Lawrence County, 11 in Meade County, 10 in Dewey County, seven in Fall River County, six in Todd County, five in Custer County, four each in Butte, Lyman, and Bennett Counties, two each in Haakon, Jackson, and Oglala Lakota Counties, and one each in Mellette and Gregory Counties.

29 probable cases were reported West River: 19 in Pennington County, three in Perkins County, two in Corson County, and one each in Stanley, Fall River, Jackson, Oglala Lakota, and Todd Counties.

In South Dakota, 5,961 cases are considered active, that number is up from 5,857 on Friday.

An additional 297 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 149,168.
