SD DOH: 383 total new COVID-19 cases, four deaths reported

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 287 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 124,587.

Four new deaths were reported, bringing the state death toll to 2,129.

109 confirmed cases were reported West River: 49 in Pennington County, 10 in Meade County, seven in Lawrence County, four in Custer County, three each in Fall River and Gregory County, two in Butte County, and one each in Corson, Stanley, Oglala Lakota, and Tripp Counties.

36 probable cases were reported West River: 16 in Dewey County, 11 in Pennington County, three in Gregory County, two each in Meade and Oglala Lakota County, and one each in Jones and Jackson Counties.

In South Dakota, 7,588 cases are considered active, that number is down from 7,704 on Friday.

An additional 495 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 133,466.
