SD DOH: 36 total new COVID-19 cases statewide, 15 West River

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — On Tuesday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 34 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 109,137.

Two cases are considered as new probable cases.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the state death toll at 2,027.

15 confirmed cases were reported West River: 11 in Pennington County, two in Lawrence County and one each in Butte and Gregory Counties

No new probable cases were reported West River.

In South Dakota, 151 cases are considered active, that number is down from 154 on Monday.

An additional 38 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 122,268.

26 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 6,893 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
