SD DOH: 337 total new COVID-19 cases, four deaths reported statewide

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 215 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 131,678.

Four new deaths were reported, bringing the state death toll to 2,218.

93 confirmed cases were reported West River: 52 in Pennington County, 8 each in Butte, Lawrence and Meade Counties, five each in Custer and Todd Counties, two each in Dewey and Fall River Counties and one each in Jackson, Oglala Lakota and Tripp Counties.

83 probable cases were reported West River: 32 in Dewey County, 24 in Pennington County,  19 in Ziebach County, four Gregory County, two in Todd County and one each in Custer and Fall River Counties.

In South Dakota, 5,663 cases are considered active, that number is down from 5,696 on Thursday.

An additional 366 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 144,427.
