SD DOH: 320 total new COVID-19 cases, seven deaths reported statewide

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 267 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 130,010.

Seven new deaths were reported, bringing the state death toll to 2,189.

109 confirmed cases were reported West River: 61 in Pennington County, nine in Meade County, eight in Todd County, five in Custer County, four each in Dewey and Butte Counties, three each in Perkins, Fall River, and Oglala Lakota Counties, two each in Corson, Lawrence, and Tripp Counties, and one each in Lyman, Bennett, and Mellette Counties.

18 probable cases were reported West River: nine in Pennington County, two each in Stanley, Custer, and Jackson Counties, and one each in Corson, Meade, and Haakon Counties.

In South Dakota, 5,868 cases are considered active, that number is down from 5,963 on Thursday.

An additional 868 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 141,939.
