SD DOH: 313 total new COVID-19 cases, three deaths reported statewide

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update showed 245 new confirmed cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 133,077.

Three new deaths were reported, bringing the state death toll to 2,234.

111 confirmed cases were reported West River: 59 in Pennington County, 14 in Lawrence County, eight each in Custer and Meade Counties, seven in Butte County, six in Fall River County, two each in Jackson, Lyman, Oglala Lakota and Stanley Counties and one in Tripp County.

25 probable cases were reported West River: 15 in Pennington County, five in Lyman County, three in Meade County and one each in Corson and Custer Counties.

In South Dakota, 5,393 cases are considered active, that number is down from 5,464 on Wednesday.

An additional 380 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 146,459.
