SD DOH: 295 new COVID-19 cases statewide, 39 West River

PIERRE, S.D. — On Wednesday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 212 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 104,855.

83 of the 295 total cases are considered as new probable cases.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the state death toll at 1,938.

38 confirmed cases were reported West River: 21 in Pennington County, six in Custer County, three in Lawrence County, two each in Dewey, Fall River and Meade Counties and one each in Butte and Tripp Counties.

One new probable case was reported West River in Meade County.

In South Dakota, 2,511 cases are considered active, that number is up from 2,419 on Tuesday.

An additional 203 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 114,526.

94 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 7,087 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
