SD DOH: 25 total new COVID-19 cases statewide, 15 West River

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — On Tuesday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 23 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 109,070.

Two of the 25 total cases are considered as new probable cases.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the state death toll at 2,026.

14 confirmed cases were reported West River: seven in Pennington County, two each in Meade and Tripp Counties and one each in Bennett, Lawrence and Stanley Counties.

One new probable case was reported West River in Fall River County.

In South Dakota, 186 cases are considered active, that number is down from 215 on Monday.

An additional 50 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 122,165.

29 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 6,933 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
