SD DOH: 20 total new COVID-19 cases, no deaths reported statewide

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — On Monday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 17 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 109,194.

Three cases are considered as new probable cases.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the states death toll at 2,030.

Eight confirmed cases were reported West River: five in Pennington County and one each in Butte, Meade, and Todd Counties.

No new probable cases were reported West River.

In South Dakota, 174 cases are considered active, that number is up from 170 on Friday.

An additional 16 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 122,308.

21 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 6,851 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
