SD DOH: 19 total new COVID-19 cases statewide, seven West River

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — On Monday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 17 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 109,104.

Two cases are considered as new probable cases.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the state death toll at 2,027.

Seven confirmed cases were reported West River: six in Pennington County and one in Butte County.

No new probable cases were reported West River.

In South Dakota, 154 cases are considered active, that number is down from 165 on Thursday.

An additional 29 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 122,230.

31 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 6,907 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
