SD DOH: 187 total new COVID-19 cases, one death reported statewide
PIERRE, S.D. — On Monday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 135 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 105,531.
52 of the 187 total cases are considered as new probable cases.
One new death was reported, leaving the state death toll at 1,947.
Nine confirmed cases were reported West River: five in Pennington County and one each in Dewey, Fall River, Lawrence and Meade Counties.
One new probable case was reported West River in Tripp County.
In South Dakota, 2,425 cases are considered active, that number is up from 2,413 on Saturday.
An additional 174 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 115,520.
96 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 7,136 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
