SD DOH: 182 total new COVID-19 cases statewide, bringing total confirmed cases to 100,014

PIERRE, S.D. — On Tuesday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 141 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 100,014.

41 of the 182 total cases are considered as new probable cases.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the statewide death toll at 1,888.

24 confirmed cases were reported West River: eight in Pennington County, four in Meade County, three each in Lawrence and Tripp Counties, two in Fall River County and one each in Butte, Custer, Haakon and Oglala Lakota Counties.

Seven probable cases were reported West River: three in Mellette County and two each in Lyman and Pennington Counties.

In South Dakota, 1,975 cases are considered active, that number is up from 1,918 on Monday.

An additional 125 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 108,664.

92 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 6,640 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
