SD DOH: 181 total new COVID-19 cases statewide, 25 West River

PIERRE, S.D. — On Monday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 130 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 93,098.

51 of the 181 total cases are considered as new probable cases.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the state death toll at 1,585.

25 confirmed cases were reported West River: 13 in Pennington County, five in Meade County, three in Lawrence County and one each in Bennett, Butte, Dewey and Stanley Counties.

Five new probable cases were reported West River: two in Mellette County, and one each in Bennett, Jones and Pennington Counties.

In South Dakota, 5,102 cases are considered active, that number is up from 5,040 on Sunday. An additional 119 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 96,812.

242 people are currently hospitalized, with a total of 5,917 people have ever been hospitalized.
