SD DOH: 165 total new COVID-19 cases, two new deaths statewide
PIERRE, S.D. — On Tuesday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 118 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 103,725.
47 of the 165 total cases are considered as new probable cases.
Two new deaths were reported, bringing the state death toll to 1,935.
Seven confirmed cases were reported West River: Three in Tripp County and one each in Corson, Custer, Dewey and Lawrence Counties.
No new probable cases were reported West River.
In South Dakota, 2,436 cases are considered active, that number is up from 2,393 on Monday.
An additional 114 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 113,010.
95 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 6,985 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
