SD DOH: 163 total new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths reported

PIERRE, S.D. — On Sunday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 122 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 103,531.

41 of the 163 total cases are considered as new probable cases.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the state death toll at 1,933.

10 confirmed cases were reported West River: five in Pennington County, two in Dewey County, and one each in Meade, Butte, and Oglala Lakota Counties.

One new probable case was reported West River in Pennington County.

In South Dakota, 2,412 cases are considered active, that number is down from 2,443 on Saturday.

An additional 194 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 112,899.

80 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 6,964 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
