SD DOH: 156 new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths reported statewide

PIERRE, S.D. — On Monday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 124 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 104,509.

32 of the 156 total cases are considered as new probable cases.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the state death toll at 1,938.

14 confirmed cases were reported West River: six in Pennington County, three in Lawrence County, two each in Meade and Tripp Counties and one in Butte County.

Two new probable case were reported West River: one each in Fall River and Meade Counties

In South Dakota, 2,485 cases are considered active, that number is up from 2,443 on Saturday.

An additional 114 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 114,094.

88 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 7,050 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
