SD DOH: 133 total new COVID-19 cases statewide, 24 West River

PIERRE, S.D. — On Monday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 102 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 106,542.

31 of the 133 total cases are considered as new probable cases.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the state death toll at 1,953.

22 confirmed cases were reported West River: 14 in Pennington County, three in Custer County, two each in Fall River and Lawrence Counties, and one in Corson County.

Two new probable cases were reported West River: one each in Custer and Gregory Counties.

In South Dakota, 2,153 cases are considered active, that number is down from 2,210 on Saturday.

An additional 190 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 117,083.

112 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 7,221 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
