SD DOH: 13 total new COVID-19 cases statewide, six West River

Mgn 1280x960 00325c00 AvgoaPIERRE, S.D. — On Thursday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 11 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 109,162.

Two cases are considered as new probable cases.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the state death toll at 2,029.

Five confirmed cases were reported West River: three in Pennington County and one each in Butte and Tripp Counties.

One new probable case was reported West River in Pennington County.

In South Dakota, 164 cases are considered active, that number is up from 162 on Wednesday.

An additional eight people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 122,285.

18 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 6,864 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
